Crossing things off the list ❤

Let me start off, my husband is amazing. You would think I'd be the one to start the planning process for our 10 year anniversary event. But he's actually the one looking for a venue, catering menus and looking through bridal gowns for me. For a man, this guy of mine is stylish and knows what styles looks good on me. I'm so surprised how enthusiastic he is with the event. We both have very similar tastes in about everything! We narrowed down to one venue (Piedmont Room) and on April 1st we will have a tour and then decide, if its the place for us to have our party.

So, the Lazaro gown I loved was a no-go. Before ordering the gown, I tried on a similar gown to make sure that's the dress I want but to my disappointment, the dress was a lot of gown which made it heavy. Don't get me wrong, it's a BEAUTIFUL dress but it was hard to walk in and those that know me, I love to dance and it would be difficult to dance in it. Mind you, walk in it. I want to feel comfortable and not worry about my dress getting in the way. I reevaluated the bridal dress I want. I tried on a few different style but I still leaned towards the a-line dresses that's somewhat of a ball gown. I tried on about 6 dresses and the last dress I picked, I fell in love with. It's very light, easy to move in, and overall a very fun dress. It has a ruched bodice and the skirt has cascading ruffles flowing down. And on the skirt it has delicate dots all around it which adds a little more character.

Before seeing myself in the mirror, I saw my husbands face as I walked towards him, his reaction was pure perfection. His eyes widen and his smile was from ear to ear. And I slowly glance to my side and saw myself and was wowed. This is my dress!

So, without further  ado, my dress...

Voila!

Here, you see the detail on the ruffles

I will be adding a crystal sash but instead of buying one, I'll be making one :)

that's how the dress will look with a sash ❤
