Planning a Party!

Some of you ladies may remember that Gabe and I planned to take a professional "wedding" pictures that we never had. The timing wasn't right since I was pregnant with Nozomi. So that idea was postponed. He bought his tuxe already (3 years ago) and I have yet to buy my bridal dress. But soon, I'll be ordering one *excited.

A little back story. I got married very young (19 years old) and very fast. We pretty much eloped and we were happy about the decision. Everything happened so fast that I never had the chance to buy a dress. I believe most women want to wear a beautiful bridal gown on their special day...even if your getting married in a courthouse. I got married with a dainty ivory blouse with jeans! That's how quick we jump to the idea of getting married. We were so in love and raced to be Mr. and Mrs. L.

But I do want photographs of us all dressed up. So, now we decided on our 10 year anniversary to have a professional photoshoot with our beautiful three kids. My best friends, Kristina and Becky said we should throw a 10 year anniversary party as well and wear my gown longer. At first, I didnt want a big party but I mentioned it to my husband and he loved the idea. We agreed to have a party to celebrate a decade being together. I don't believe in renewing your vows because the first time you make that commitment, you should always ALWAYS stay committed. You shouldnt renew your vows to be reminded of your commitment together. Every year, everyday should be a reminded the love, dedication, honor and respect you have for each other.  Well, that's how I feel *hehe
We have 2 years to plan and save up for this event. The more I think about, the more excited I get. That day will be the wedding/reception we never had but finally, will have. I will share with you all my ideas and my DIY projects along the way. It's nice to share with other your fondest memories and ideas.

Here's the dress I fell absolutely in love with:
Lazaro Gown (StyleLZ3108) Sherbert but I will order this in white. Sherbert is a beautiful color but it will make me look very pale.
